Treadmills 2016 Buying Guide

Gym & Fitness at Home

Finding the right treadmill depends on a few factors, such as your fitness goals (are you looking to power walk, jog, or run?) as well as how much space you have and your overrall budget. For running, things such as motor power, deck size, belt style, incline and speed options are the focal points. We reviewed the treadmills below to give you the range options from motortized walking treadmills up in the (200-400 range) up to commercial gym grade treadmills (1,000-5,000). As a good rule of thumb, treadmills that are around 50in in length are suited for walking, while 60in+ are for runners. Treadmills in the low-mid budget range are often foldable, making them convenient for transporting but this also reduces the sturdiness where non-folding treadmills offer serious runners the most heavy duty construction. A few other things to consider when browsing the treadmills below include what type of display, features, and accessories you may want, such as iFit compatibility or USB connections for downloading data.
